Evaluate Probing Depth, Clinical Attachment Level and Bone Graft of Platelet-Rich Fibrin in of Periodontal Intrabony Defects: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Keywords:
periodontal intrabony defects, Probing depth, Clinical attachment level, Platelet-rich fibrinAbstract
Background and aim: The aim of present systematic review and meta‐analysis was Evaluate Probing depth, Clinical attachment level and Bone graft of Platelet-rich fibrin in of periodontal intrabony defects.
Method: Databases of PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO and Embase were searched for systematic literature between 2016 to March 2022. 95% confidence interval for mean differences with fixed effect model and Inverse-variance method were calculated. Meta-analysis was performed using Stata/MP v.16 software (The fastest version of Stata).
Result: Overall Mean difference of Clinical attachment level between platelet-rich fibrin and control group was 0.64 mm (MD, 0.64 95% CI 0.52, 0.75. P= 0.00) and Overall Mean difference of Probing depth between platelet-rich fibrin and control group was 0.81 mm (MD, 0.81 95% CI 0.72, 0.89. P= 0.00).
Conclusion: Platelet-rich fibrin leads to statistically significant clinical improvements in probing depth reduction, clinical attachment level gain.
