Impacts on the Company Performance with Female Memberson the Board
Abstract
the aim of the this research is to analyse whether there is a relationship between the percentage of female board members and company size (turnover, income statement, total assets and number of employees) or companies’ main activity. The topic is interesting because literature indicates that there are more females on boards in bigger companies and the company performance is greater when there is more gender diversity. Besides that, it would be interesting to analyse the data of the percentage of female board members also with the main activity of the company, to investigate whether there is a relationship between those variables as suggested in the literature.
