Interpolation Filter Design for Wireless Standards

Abstract

The goal of this research is to create a digital interpolation filter that can be used with a third order multi-bit modulator. In a hearing aid application, an audio signal processing system contains back-end components such as a modulator and an interpolation filter that process audio signals. This combination of the oversampling ratio, the number of stages, and the number of filter taps is the least hardware-intensive among a broad range of audio filters published. The project, which will employ 45nm CMOS technology, will be designed using Cadence's virtuoso tool.
