Investigating the Effectiveness of Lash Punishment from the Perspective of Interveners in Iranian Courts

Abstract

From the beginning of the creation of humanity, man has been involved with the phenomenon of crime and consequently the reaction to it. Lash punishment has been one of the most accessible types of punishments by the formation of legal systems in different parts of the world. Therefore, the views of the proponents and opponents about lash punishment were investigated, the second part of this study was conducted via the field method from criminal case interveners and all individuals involved and effective in a judicial case have been asked and the ultimate goal is whether the lash punishment is effective in the current conditions of society or not?
