Impact of covid - 19 on the financial performance of Federal bank - a study

Abstract

Banking sector plays a vital role in the financial services industry and the performance of any economy, to a large extent, is dependent on the performance of banks. By comparing the previous years with the pandemic period, banks have to face a lot of changes in their financial status and operating activities. So, the main objective of this paper is to study the impact of COVID-19 on the financial performance of Federal Bank by analysing important financial variables.  For the purpose of the study, study period is divided into pre-pandemic period and pandemic period with a comparative analysis has been done to find deviations which are either favourable or unfavourable to the bank.
